Elden W. Parr, 90, of Crestline, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 1, 2018 at his residence.

Elden was born in Crawford County on January 17, 1928 to the late Elden W. and Myrtle I. (Smith) Parr.

Elden was of the Mormon Church.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  He was employed as an electrician at General Motors in Ontario and retired from Marion Shovel, Marion.  Elden enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and sky diving.

He is survived by his children: Phyllis Ford, Galion, Judy and Martin Ball, Galion, Phillip William and Leona Parr, Crestline, Rebecca Saxton, Galion, Kenny Parr, Galion, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, his sisters, Carl Schroeder, Florida, Bonnie and Ronald Scott, Johnsville, Sharon and Paul Coleman, Montana, his sister-in-law, Mary Parr, Hudson, FL, and his ex-wife, Vada Parr Smith.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Avis M. (Price) Parr, his son, John Eugene Parr, and his brothers, Richard Parr, Francis Parr, and David Parr.

Military honors and inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at a later date.
