Elaine Luscaleet, 93, of Galion passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
Born June 21, 1924 in Galion, she was the daughter of Lester and Goldie (Volz) Harsh. She married Dale Luscaleet on September 19, 1941 and he preceded her on November 24, 1995.
Elaine worked at the former AMCO in Galion and owned with her husband, Dales Travel Trailer Sales, Dales Wrecker Service and Luscaleet and Son Trucking. She was a member of Galion First Church of the Nazarene and was a long time member of the U-Name It club in Galion. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting and watching cardinals and especially loved her family.
She is survived by her children, Sandy (Larry) Finley of Leesburg, Richard (Anita) Luscaleet of Galion, Linda (Butch) Heminger of Galion and Jim (Denice) Luscaleet of Richwood; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Franklin, Milford, Clifford “Hap” and Paul Harsh; one sister, Luella Jones; granddaughter, Connie Donnett and great-grandson, Nicholas Frankart.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 and also from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 prior to the funeral service which will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dr. Rick McCartney officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
