Dortha M. Motter, age 94 of Wharton, died on Apr. 19, 2021, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Carey to the late Stanley and Bernita (Copley) Walters. She married Robert C. Motter on Sept. 7, 1946, he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2008. Surviving are daughters Lydia (Randy) Young, Grabill, IN, Bettie (Gary) Pfeiffer, Wharton, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, a sister Ruth Ann Needels, AR. She is preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Sharon (John) McDaniel, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a brother Charles Walters.

She was a 1944 graduate of Wharton High School and a member of Wharton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Motter was a homemaker, she helped on the farm and worked for the former Millington Plastics. She was a member of Wyandot Co. Antique Association, Grange, and 4-H.  Mrs. Motter enjoyed crafting, camping, sewing, crocheting, and rug weaving.

Funeral services will be held on Fri. Apr. 23, 2021, at 10:30 AM in the Wharton United Methodist Church with Pastor Betsy Bowen officiating. Interment will be in Wharton Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thurs. Apr. 22, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Clark Shields Funeral Home, Forest.  Memorial contributions may be made to Wharton United Methodist Church or Bridge Home Health and Hospice in the care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S.
