Dorothy M. Pfleiderer, 85, of Galion, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at home.
Born May 24, 1935, in Morrow County, she was the daughter and youngest of eleven children of Glen and Mary (Davis) Davis. She married Robert L. Pfleiderer on July 5, 1958, and he preceded her after 49 years of marriage on March 8, 2008.
She attended Iberia Schools and previously worked at the former North Electric and former Hamilton Standard. She last worked in the deli department of Kroger in Mt. Gilead retiring in 2002. Dorothy loved flowers, gardening, reading, puzzles, canning, and especially family dinners.
She is survived by children Monica (Denny) Strickler of Galion, Doug (Angie) Pfleiderer of Fredericktown, and Roger (Kim) Pfleiderer of rural Galion; grandchildren, Jessica (Sebastian) Berger, Matt (Kate) Strickler, Isaac (Erin) Strickler, Katie Pfleiderer, Clay Pfleiderer, Emily Pfleiderer, Abby Pfleiderer, Diana (Johnny) Casteel, Jess (Jeremy) Hockenberry, Nicole Palmer, Wyatt Pfleiderer, and Rebecca Pfleiderer; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Norman Loyer, sisters-in-law, Carol Martin and Vickie Pfleiderer and numerous nieces and nephews..
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Dean Davis, Carl Davis, Paul Davis, and Richard Davis.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, with Pastor Rick Maddox officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
