Dorothy Ellen (Kilgore) Robison, aged 86, died peacefully on April 30, 2024, at Galion Community Hospital. She was born on May 21, 1937, in Attica, OH to William and Luada (Montgomery) Kilgore.
She is a graduate of Shiloh High School class of 1955. She married C. William “Bill” Robison on Oct. 13, 1957 in Willard, OH. She was known by many in the Galion area as the kind cashier at Pamida and later Family Dollar. She was the voice that many heard when calling for help at Robison Tree Service. She attended Real Life Nazarene Church in Galion. Dorothy was a hard worker and a generous and humble person, who was dedicated to her family. She was protective and supportive and also self-reliant.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, and her children, James Robison and Missy Robison, as well as grandchildren Alex and Azalea Harris and Jayda Robison. She is also survived by her sisters Mary (Russell) Robison, Sue (Wick) Davis, and Rebekah (Don) Lewis, and many beloved cousins – particularly Lavon Allen – and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her four brothers and four of her sisters.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Snyder Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St, Galion, from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday May 7, 2024 to reminisce and honor Dorothy‘s life where services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday May 8, 2024 with Russell Robison and Pastor Ron Fuson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
