Doris I. Rinehart, 95, of rural Galion passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marion.
Born in Galion on September 15, 1927, she was the daughter of Reuben and Katherine (Hoffman) Mathias. She married Donald D. Rinehart on March 29, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1998.
Doris graduated from Cardington High School in 1945 and previously worked at the Morrow County Clerk of Courts in Mt. Gilead and also at the former North Electric in Galion. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Marion. Doris enjoyed bowling, golfing, cross stitch, reading and jig saw puzzles.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Miller of Galion; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Rinehart and five sisters, Evelyn Smith, Glenna Hall, Marjorie Balliett, Phyllis Rorick and Shirley Roberts.
There will be a graveside service in Fairview Cemetery in Galion at a later date.
