Donnie Lee Hoffman, Jr., 63, of rural Galion passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, October 5, 2019.

He was born January 15, 1956 in Crestline and was the son of Donald Lee and Mary (Garverick) Hoffman.

Donnie attended Northmor Schools and worked for many years for the City of Galion. He was very handy and liked working on cars. Donnie absolutely loved the outdoors and going on “roadies” with his daughters looking for deer. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing on his property.

He is survived by his two daughters, Brooke Hoffman and fiancée David Vandine and Crystal Hoffman all of Galion; brother Ronald (Barb) Hoffman of Galion; nieces Niki (Jimmy) McCoy, Michele (Travis) Tolar and Tasha (Matt) Eusey all of Galion; nephew, Scotty (Heather) Sharrock of Galion; special cousin Steve Russell; other cousins, aunts, uncles and his dog, Bear.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Cathy Lester and several close friends who passed away over the past several years.

The family will receive friends starting at 12 noon Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Loyal Order of Moose #303, 520 South Market Street Galion, Ohio 44833 where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Following the memorial service, the family will continue to receive friends until 4:00 p.m.
