Donna Mae Wilson, 81, of Galion passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at home.
Born March 23, 1942 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Glenn and Lucille (Gosser) Grimwood. She married Robert Wilson in1982 and he preceded her in 2003.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1960 and a member of Grace Point in Galion. Donna worked at the Galion Police Department for 33 years where she was the first meter maid in Galion, and then became a dispatcher. She was a member of the Galion Golden Age Center, T.O.P.S. and the Red Hat Society. Donna’s favorite color was purple, and she enjoyed bingo, casinos, crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by sons, Barry (Bonnie) Snyder of Galion, David (Gail) Snyder of the state of Delaware and Douglas (Tammy) Snyder of Galion; grandchildren, Josh (Samantha) Snyder of Galion, Brady (Ronald) Cisco of Illinois, Jake Snyder of Galion, David (Heather) Snyder of Galion, Derek Snyder of Galion, Emma and Darcey of the state of Delaware, Marlanya Bell of Bucyrus, Shelby Bell of Galion, Cheyenne Stevens of Newark and Aaron and friend Austin of Galion and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Grimwood and sisters, Mary McHenry, Martha Phelps, Helen Hough and Janet Price.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Grace Point, 683 Portland Way North, Galion, Ohio 44833 where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Walter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galion Golden Age Center in care of the funeral home.
