Donna J. Dewalt, 73, of Galion passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Born November 28, 1947, in North Olmsted, Ohio, she was the daughter of Roy and Vera Cork.  She married Lester Dewalt on March 27, 1971, and they shared 50 years together.

She obtained her associate’s degree in accounting from the Mansfield Business College.  Donna worked as a waitress at the Brown Derby in Ontario, the former M & R restaurant in Galion, and retired from Subway in Galion. She enjoyed being around people and playing bingo at St. Joseph Catholic Church and at the American Legion.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by, three children, Missy (Dave) Baker of Galion, Lester D. (Karen) Dewalt of Atlanta, Georgia, and Steve Lombardo of Conover, North Carolina; 6 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with her dog, Buddy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, R. Scott Dewalt, two brothers, and a sister.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
