Donald R. Jones, Sr., age 83, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, in Galion Avita Hospital. He was born June 18, 1938 in Central City, KY to the late Floyd P. and Georgia M. (Pouge) Jones.
Donald had worked as a welder at Techform for 10 years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and watching NASCAR. He had a passion for all pets including dogs, cats, and rabbits. His greatest love was for his family.
On Oct. 5th, 1956 Donald married the former Alma Conley and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2013.
Survivors include Donald’s children, Donald R. (Sherry) Jones, Jr., Jean (Gene) Brady, Marie (Royce) Mounts, and Ann Meadows; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd Jones, Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI., and Philip Jones of Ionia, MI.
In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by sisters; Eva Jean Jackson, Carol Miller, and Helen Jacobs Jorgenson.
The family will be holding a service that will be announced at a later date with burial in Crawford County Memory Gardens.
