Donald James Turner, 67, passed away on November 22, 2021, after a long, valiant battle with health issues.

Jim met his wife, Jodie, as a teenager at the First Presbyterian Church. They were high school sweethearts who parted ways and found other life adventures until reuniting, marrying on March 20, 1998. They enjoyed traveling together, particularly to the warm climate of Myrtle Beach, Savannah, and Hilton Head.

In 2018, Jim was honored for 30 years of service at North Central State College, having served in various administrative and teaching roles, most recently retiring as a Network Administrator for the college. While there, he was honored with many service and teaching awards.

A long-time, dedicated fan of OSU football, Jim also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and listening to classic rock music. He was a regular at the events of his grandchildren, including graduations, basketball games, dance recitals, soccer games, and more. He was a man of integrity, taking pride in all he did – whether it was working on cars, finishing a basement, or building a deck.

Most notably, Jim Turner was a kind and good man who cared deeply about his vast family. In addition to his wife, Jodie, he is survived by his daughters Sandy (Jason) Bailey, Jennifer (Dan) Mohorick, Andrea Turner, and Robin (Jesse) Stock. He is also survived by his grandchildren Devin (Casey), Logan, Jason, Brysen, Emma, Jonah, Alia, London, great-granddaughter, Liberty, and a sister, Sandy Ogden.

Jim Turner, and his quiet support and wisdom, will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes where a celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating.
