Donald Edward Eppley, 88 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Donald was born September 5, 1932, in Seneca County to the late Willard A. and Hilda (Bauer) Eppley. He was married on April 4, 1954, to Carole (Candel) Eppley who survives. He was preceded in death by brothers Orville and Luther Eppley.
Donald is also survived by children Kimberly (Keith) Light of Buckeye Lake, Kristine Strauch of Bucyrus, and David (Sue) Eppley of Gibsonia, PA; grandchildren Lauren (Michael) Welty of New Albany, OH, Laura Eppley, David Eppley of Gibsonia, PA, Aaron Light, Brian Light, Christin Light of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are sister-in-laws Gladys and Phyllis Eppley.
Don lived most of his life in Bucyrus and graduated from Chatfield High school. He retired from The Timken Co. in 1992 and did carpentry work for many years. Don was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. He served in the Army from 1954-1956 and was in the Honor Guard. Don was a member of American Legion Post 181 and enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening.
