Dixie A. Russell, 69 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday August 12, 2022. Dixie was born February 2, 1953 in Bucyrus to the late Jack C. Russell and Mary (Blackburn) Russell of Bucyrus. Dixie is preceded in death by her father Jack Russell.
Dixie is also survived by daughters, Jenny Corona (Rory) Schoonmaker of Redondo Beach, CA and Jesse Corona (Wesley) Williamson of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Hunter (Lauren) Williamson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Hannah (Tripp) Williamson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sage Carlin Schoonmaker of Redondo Beach, CA; great-grandchildren, Harper Williamson of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Tom (Bev) Russell of Worthington and Toby (Vickie) Russell of Bucyrus; sisters, Bonnie (Rich) Mahlerwein of Hamilton, OH and Rebecca (Rick) Stineman of Bucyrus; Dixie is also survived by her lifelong friend, David Draime, her beloved dachshund, Tucker AKA Maxwell, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dixie graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1971 Dixie was a dental assistant for many years getting her start in Bucyrus & ending in Myrtle Beach. Dixie loved her family deeply. She was a passionate advocate for animals and never met a dog she didn’t love! Dixie loved the color blue and her daughters ask that you wear a shade of blue to her visitation.
Visiting hours are at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home 2PM-4PM Friday August 19th. There will be a service following visitation at 4PM with Pastor Mike Corwin officiating.
