Dennis E. McHenry, 64, of Mansfield and formerly of Galion passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 from complications from a recent fall at Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield.
He was born August 30, 1953 in Galion and was the son of Richard V. and Elizabeth (Stinehelfer) McHenry.
Dennis graduated in 1971 from Galion High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Galion. Dennis collected coffee cups and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He survived by his mom, Elizabeth McHenry of Galion; brother Randy (Marina) McHenry of Ft. Myers, Florida; nieces Beth (fiancee A. J. Gray) Shenberger of Marblehead, Ohio and Sasha (Al) Nault of Ft. Myers, Florida; nephew Brent (Linnea) McHenry of Connecticut; great-nieces Baylee Shenberger and Zoe Nault and a great-nephew Logan McHenry.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Vere McHenry; brother Richard A. McHenry and a great-nephew Dylan McHenry.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at Thursday 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Ash Welch officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
