Delwyn J. “Del” Ehrman, 75 of Leesville passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
He was born October 16, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, and was the son of Harley Jay and M. Evelyn (Eckert) Ehrman. Del is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jane (Rinehart) Ehrman whom he married on July 22, 1986.
Del graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1963 and was a farmer and truck driver. He was a member of Gracepoint in Galion, Pheasants Forever, and the Crawford County Antique Tractor Association.
Del was a life-long resident of Crawford County and was the self-proclaimed mayor of Leesville. He and Jane were avid sports fans, supporting Colonel Crawford sports, Ohio State Football, and the Cleveland Indians. Del played softball and umpired at East Park in Galion for over 40 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Donovan (Stacy) Ehrman of Alton, Illinois and Dustin (Lilly) Ehrman of Steubenville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Harley, Graceon, Sydney, and Jackson Ehrman and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Roger) Haas of Bucyrus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Phyllis Jean Ehrman.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Gracepoint, 683 Portland Way North, Galion, Ohio 44833 where a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Walter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gracepoint in care of the funeral home.
