Dawn M. Fike Chamberlain, 70, died Friday, October 22, 2021, at Winchester Terrace in Mansfield after a lengthy cancer battle.

She was born December 3, 1950, in Shelby to the late Irwin and Jane (Leonhart) Fike and raised in the Tiro area. After graduating from Buckeye Central High School in 1968, Dawn went to Capital University in Columbus where she studied social work and graduated in 1972. She worked for Social Services in Georgia and also worked in retail throughout her life as she enjoyed fashion.

Dawn was an adventurous free spirit who loved nature and art. She lived in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona, and Alaska before returning to Ohio for the past ten years. She made woodwork and learned the art of beadwork from Alaskan natives that she designed and sold. She worked with plants and gardening, enjoyed being a member of the Kingwood Herb Society, and loved the beauty of her Creator’s world.

Dawn is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Mary Fike; nephews, Riley and Sam Fike; and her dear friend, Lucille Bridgeman.

A service celebrating Dawn’s life will be held on Friday, December 3 at 2:00 pm at Mansfield 1st EPC, 399 S. Trimble Road, with Pastor Joseph Yerger officiating.
