David A. Clever, 61, Crestline, died Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Signature Health Care of Galion after a short illness.
David was born in Kittanning, PA on October 4, 1956 to the late Harry and Maxine (Hooks) Clever.
David was a lifetime active member of the Crestline Church of the Nazarene where he served on the board and was an usher for over 30 years. He was a longtime member of the former Crestline Kiwanis Club where he served as secretary and treasurer. David was sure to watch every Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians or OSU game on TV. It is safe to say he was a mega Ohio sports fan! David also enjoyed walking and loved dogs.
He is survived by his sister, Connie and Jim Chapman I of Crestline; and nephews, Chad and Angela Alterio, Paul and LaTisha Alterio, Harry Smith, and James and Lori Chapman II.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Stacy Lynn Clever; his sister, Georgia Smith; and his terrier, Tipper.
Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Crestline Church of the Nazarene, 500 E. Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20 at Crestline Church of The Nazarene, Crestline, with Rev. Scott Buell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
