Daniel “Dan” W. Barchus passed away at JAG Galion Pointe on December 9, 2024. He was born May 10, 1950 in Detroit, MI to Darwin and Elinor (Nell) Barchus.
Dan served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the NRA and a member of the American Legion in Onaway, MI and American Legion Stitt Post in Dearborn Heights. He was also in the Indian River Sportsman Club.
Dan loved target shooting, motorcycle riding; ammo reloading and he enjoyed working on his family history.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Barchus; and nephews: Ronnie Barchus, and Bobby Barchus.
Daniel leaves behind his sisters: Judy (Walt) Romanowski, Linda (Larry) Wood and Debbie (Neil) Swanger; brother, Don (Pam) Barchus; nieces and nephews: Kathy Wood, Sheri (Chris) Combs, Stephanie (Aaron) Bassham, Andy (Whitney) Barchus, Jon (Ashley) Barchus, Aaron Swanger, Sherry Weeks, and Tina Keeler. His best friend, Jerry Glen.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 am. Monday, December 16, 2024 with a service to being at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Burial to follow at Western Reserve National Cemetery
