Cruse Campo, 90, of Galion passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
Born April 26, 1931 in Galion, he was the son of Paul and Sarah (Gill) Campo. He married Anna (Williams) Campo on December 5, 1969 and they enjoyed 48 years together before her passing on July 28, 2017.
He was in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. Cruse worked for Conrail for 41 years and attended Crestline Church of the Nazarene for many years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Ohio State Football fan.
He is survived by children John Williams of Galion, Deb (Leon) Mitchell of West Virginia, Larry Baldwin of Port Clinton, Kathy (Sue Poor) Wilson of Galion, Altie Baldwin of Mt. Gilead, Crisse (Kenny) Sand of Galion, Marsha (Gordy) Caldwell of Baltimore, Maryland, Matthew Campo of Green Camp and Pauline (Rob) Ade of California; special granddaughter and caregiver, Cindy Wallis of Galion; numerous grandchildren throughout the states; numerous great grandchildren throughout the states and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by daughters, Sandy Bennett and
Georgia Ann Baldwin; son, Rickie Allen Campo; four brothers, Joe, Robert, Paul and Marshall Lee Campo and five sisters, Marie Franco, Pauline Wiseman, Sylvia Sorrick, Lucille Efaw and Kathryn Saylor.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family or Cleveland Clinic Cancer Unit in care of the funeral home.
