Cori L. Dixon, 57, of Galion passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born January 8, 1962 in Galion and was the daughter of the late James and Ida (Waldo) Laughbaum. Cori is survived by her husband of 37 years, Scott Dixon whom she married on June 19, 1982.

She graduated from Galion High School in 1980. Cori was a former active Girl Scout leader and had worked as a nurse’s assistant. She enjoyed reading and puzzle books. Cori loved children and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Valerie (Ben) Hart of Bellville and Stephanie (Matt) Binkley of Galion; son Kyle Dixon of Galion; three grandsons Michael Hart, Evan Binkley and Eli Dixon; step-mother Beth Laughbaum of Galion; two sisters, Anne (Mike) Tarchanin of Galion and Trish (Richard Hepper) Laughbaum of La Mesa, California; two brothers Chris (Cheri) Laughbaum and Matt (Patti) Laughbaum all of Galion; brother-in-law Pat (Leslie) Dixon of Galion; sister-in-law Diane (Bob) Ford of Lexington, Kentucky and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
