Clyde Schramek, 78, of Galion passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Born October 14, 1938 in Galion, he was the son of Elmer Clyde Sr. and Vietta (Noonan) Schramek. He married Sandra Lee (Roston) Schramek on November 14, 1959 and she preceded him on April 10, 2001.
He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1956 and served in the United States Navy. Clyde was a production planner at the former North Electric Company in Galion later becoming ITT and lastly Peco. He was a member of Galion Elks Lodge 1191 where he was a past Exalted Ruler. Clyde was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State fan and enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards.
He is survived by children Debra (Rodney) Roberts of Chuckey, Tennessee, Duane (Angie) Schramek of Crestline and Damon (Karen) Schramek of Galion; grandchildren Kayla Schramek, Alyssa (Caleb) Cooper, Alexandrea (Joe) Roque, Brianna Roberts and Shelbie (Mason) Flohr; great-grandchildren Ellie Roque, Grayson Flohr, Zeyden Thompson, Amelia Flohr and Eli Cooper; brother Pete (Levena) Schramek of Crestline and sisters Joy (Tom) Haas of Cleveland and Karen Conroy of Marion.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by sister Betty Thurston.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where an Elks Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 with Mr. Willard Delaney officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galion Elks Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
