Chuck A. Haspeslagh, 72, of Galion passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Avita Galion Hospital unexpectedly after a sudden illness.

Born March 28, 1951 in Galion, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Byers) Haspeslagh.  He married Diana (Garverick) Haspeslagh on June 28, 1974 and they enjoyed 48 years together.

He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1969 and worked 26 years for Cleland Manufacturing. Chuck then was a bus mechanic for over 20 years for the Galion City School District. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially loved his grandchildren and dogs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Ashlee (Jon) Cuttitta of Galion, Katie (Steve) Starling of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, Mindy Haspeslagh of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Missy (Jerry) Turner of Galion and grandchildren Riley Turner, Benjamin Cuttitta, Elijah Turner, Hattie Starling and Seth Starling.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Heather McLeod officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lowe Volk Park or PB & J Baseball League for individuals with disabilities in care of the funeral home.
