Christopher “Chris” Carl Wildenthaler, 60 of Galion, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Chris was born on October 14, 1964, in Bucyrus, to the late Carl and Sharon (Sharrock) Wildenthaler Jr.

Chris was a Galion High School Graduate, class of 1983 and would go on to attend The Ohio State University. He worked his whole career for Anderson Aluminum, installing windows for over 30 years.

A true Buckeye, Chris cherished his years spent at The Ohio State University. His love for the Buckeyes was endless, and he would never miss the opportunity to watch the games or switch to listening to them on the radio. Chris enjoyed spending his free time in the great outdoors, especially in the spring and fall, which were his favorite seasons. While outdoors, Chris appreciated working on his golf game.

Above everything else, Chris treasured the time spent with his family and the friends he’s had since childhood. Chris, an avid dog lover, could always be seen with a furry friend.

Left to cherish Chris’ memory is his fiancé: Kelly Everly; his children: Madison (Molly Powell) Wildenthaler, Callie (Harrison Ivy) Wildenthaler and Katherine Wildenthaler; his siblings: David (Rhonda) Wildenthaler, and Kim Chandler; and his nieces and nephews: Tori (Conner) Campbell, Elli (Josh Mason) Chandler, Zach (Denise) Riedling, Jessica (Keith) Siler, and Brad (Robin) Riedling.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation with Celebrant Jennifer Bachelder officiating.
