Chris Breinich, 52, of Galion passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born October 27, 1968 in Galion, the son of his late father John Breinich and Frieda (Lehman) Breinich of Galion.  He married Melissa Coble on August 22, 2017.

Chris was a graduate of Galion High School in 1987 and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State University. He served his country with the United States Army and previously worked at The Ohio State University Hospital and Marion Correctional Facility.  He was currently working for the Central Star Home Health Services. Chris enjoyed music and played the guitar, enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, and the Nordic Culture and would often joke, saying he was a Viking.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by children, Ariel Breinich, Marissa Breinich, Mathias Breinich, Madilynn Breinich and adopted son, Bryan (Stephanie) Breinich; stepchildren, Megan, Dallas, and Dustin; six grandchildren and one on the way; five step-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Heather (Louie) Falzone of Maumee; two nephews, Corbin and Caleb and niece Haylee.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
