Charles L. ”Chuck” Thoman, 75, of Crestline, died Friday, January 19, 2018 at Magnolia Terrace, Galion, after a short illness.
Chuck was born in Shelby, on October 15, 1942 to the late Charles E. “ Fritz” and Maxine M. (Watt) Thoman.
Chuck was employed by Peabody, Galion as a stock handler. Chuck was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Crestline. He graduated from Crestline High School in 1962. He enjoyed his cat and dog, and loved watching the Cleveland Indians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandy and Scott Rice, St. Charles, MO, Cindy and Tim Garrett, Crestline, grandchildren, Felicia Garrett, Victoria Garrett, and Gracie Ann Rice, his Uncle and Aunt, who were also his caregivers, Carl and Margie Watt, Galion, and cousins, Kristi and Ron Fox, Galion, Tammy and Tim McHugh, Tucson, AZ, and Sharon Studer, Bucyrus.
He was preceded in death by his favorite cousins, Bill Spangler and Bob Watt.
Friends may call Monday, January 22, 2018 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 23 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
