Charles “Charlie” Robert Inman, 86, of Crestline passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Mill Creek Nursing in Galion.
Charles was born in Straight Creek, Kentucky on March 22, 1938, to the late Andy and Geneva (Johnson) Inman. He married Joyce (Fisher) Inman on May 24, 1958, and reunites with her in Heaven.
Charlie was a graduate of Crestline High School, Class of 1956. After graduating and marrying Joyce, he proudly served the country in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge. Throughout his life, he was a known hard worker and had a friendly face to everyone he met. He retired from his career at PPG in 1999 and found joy working at Holcker Hardware in his spare time after. Charlie was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; he and Joyce made family their number one priority.
In his spare time, he enjoyed numerous activities: tending to the upkeep of his beautiful home, spectating sports, playing cards and board games with his family, solving crossword puzzles, watching classics such as The Andy Griffith Show and Blue Bloods, and spending time with God through prayer and reading his Bible. As health allowed, Charlie was an active church member and attended as often as he could.
Left to cherish Charlie’s memories and life achievements are his children; Jeffrey (Trudy) Inman of Mansfield, Jonathan (Pat) Inman of Crestline and Jill (Ron) Music of Crestline; his six grandchildren and their spouses; John (Alexandria) Inman, Joshua Inman, Andy Inman, Jessica Inman, Caitlin Music and Hunter (Josh) Music; and four great-grandchildren; Ashlyn, Brooklyn, Madelyn, and Evelyn Lu.
In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, his brothers; Harry, Scott, and Tip, his sister-in-law Carol Gallentine and daughter-in-law Missy Inman.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Mill Creek Nursing and Gentiva Hospice for their dedicated and kind care in Charles’ last days, their care and kindness was truly extraordinary.
