Carl E. Davis, Jr., age 85, of Ontario passed away Saturday October 5, 2024 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
Born July 26, 1939 in Mack, Colorado he was the son of the late Carl and Harriet (Caywood) Davis
Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for 36 years for the Pennsylvania and Conrail Railroads. He enjoyed playing pool with his teammates Bethany, James and Randy on his team CD’s Outlaws.
Carl is survived by his sisters: Ruth Johnston and Diana Tinch, his brother Robert Davis, nephews Shawn Davis and Joey Davis and numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn, his brother Harry Davis and his sisters: Helen Reamsnider, Betty Rhinehart and Laura Davis.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday October 11, 2024 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Celebrant Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
Military honors will be conducted by the Galion/Crestline Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
