Bruce A. “Scooter” Heminger, 56, of Galion passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family in his home.

He was born February 2, 1962 in Galion and was the son of Clarence and Mary (Coats) Heminger.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 24 years Leslie (Wagers) Heminger whom he married on March 6, 1994.

Bruce graduated from Northmor High School in 1980 and has worked for over 20 years as an electrician for Tate Electrical in Iberia. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and playing poker. Bruce was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Clay and Caleb Heminger both of Galion and Syd Wentz of Marion; daughter, Jessica Heminger of Ontario; granddaughter, Trennedy Auflick; father, Clarence (Linda) Heminger of Galion; mother, Mary Heminger of Mansfield; brothers, Bill (Donna) Heminger of Bellville and Brian (Vickie) Heminger of Mt.Gilead; step-brother, Dale Luscaleet and step-sister, Cher Lawrence of Galion.

He is preceded in death by a step-sister Connie Donnett and a nephew Nicholas Frankart.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
