Brian C. Crawford, 39, of Delaware, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Mt. Carmel, St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville, following a brief illness.
Brian was born in Galion, on June 20, 1978 to Gary Crawford and Sandra (Shope) Cole. He married Chantel M. McClelland-Porter on July 7, 2001.
Brian was a graduate of Crestline High School, Class of 1996. He was recently employed at the Giant Eagle Store as the manager of the deli department. He was an active member of the Grace Baptist Church of Delaware. He loved the Lord and attended Christian rock concerts regularly with his family. He was also an avid Michigan fan and often created friendly rivalry with other family members who supported the Buckeyes. He was known for his sense of humor and pulling stunts on family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Chantel and two sons, Hayden and Evan, brother, Bruce (Tabitha) Crawford, step-sister, Tiffany (Nick) Dunlap, step-mother, Pam Crawford, his grandparents, Shelby Crawford and Maxine Stafford, his father-in-law, Mike (Kim) Porter, brothers-in-law, Paul (Kara) Porter, Andy Porter, sister-in-law, Kinzie (Joe) Lantini, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Crawford, grandparents, Russel and Alice Shope, Duane Crawford, John and Betty Hurson, William Stafford, and his mother-in-law, Cathy McClelland.
Friends may call Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline with Pastor John Herdman officiating.
