Brady Alan Straub, 50, of Mansfield, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Brady was born to the proud parents of Harry and Kay (Lilly) Straub on June 9, 1974.

Brady graduated from Ontario High School, class of 1992 and later earned three Associate’s Degrees from Miami University. Brady was an accomplished engineer. Throughout his career, Brady excelled as an Engineer Manager at Stone Ridge, where he dedicated 24 years of his life. There he was able to travel across the country. He finished his engineering career as a Project Manager at Innovision for a year. He found immense joy in the successes of his children, Alexis and Mason, and was a loving husband to his wife, Kristin. Brady also leaves behind his mother, Kay Straub, brother, Ronald (Cindy) Straub, and father-in-law, James Massey.

Known for his infectious smile, sense of humor, and love for all things Star Wars, Brady’s passions included boating, fishing, camping, and constructing intricate Star Wars Lego sets. A self-proclaimed homebody, he cherished moments spent at Marblehead and Put-n-Bay, finding solace in the tranquility of those places.

Brady was preceded in death by: Father, Harry Straub, Mothers-in-law, Sharon (Stallings) Robison, Kathryn (Burgart) Massey. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Brady’s memory will endure through the lives he touched and the memories he created.

Friends may call on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. Friends may also call on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm with funeral services following at 1:00 pm where Chaplain Paul O’Brien will officiate. Burial will take place immediately following at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
