Beth Ann Pollock, 80, of Galion passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Signature HealthCARE in Galion.
She was born April 29, 1938 in Galion and was the daughter of Daniel W. and Bessie L. (Reed) Woolensider. Beth Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard E. Pollock, whom she married on August 2, 1958.
She was a 1956 graduate of Galion High School and attended Akron University. Beth Ann had previously worked at the former Kroger & Neff Brothers Grocery Store in Galion. She was a dedicated employee of H & R Block for 34 years. By having the kindest of heart, great head on her shoulders and caring for her clients she was able to help people and figure out problems.
Beth Ann had been a former Girl Scout Leader, member of a card club and Western Square Danced for over 30 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galion. Beth Ann enjoyed sewing, crafts and was always ready to go somewhere. She loved ice cream and animals, especially her two cats – Charlie II and Sammy.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Steve L. Pollock and daughter Carrie Beth Pollock both of Galion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert E. Woolensnider and three sisters Eileen B. Hayes, Charlene Miller and Betty J. Auck.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 18 with Rev. Richard Genzman officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society serving Crawford County in care of the funeral home.
