Barbara Shatzer, 76, of Tiro passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

She was born September 20, 1946 in Galion and was the daughter of Richard and Josephine (Ehrman) Finney.

Barb graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1964 and worked at the former Burches in Crestline, former Peabody in Galion and retired after working for 10 years at MTD in Shelby. She was an active member of the Tiro United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and several church committees. A farm girl at heart, Grandma Barb enjoyed mowing her yard, spending time with her grandchildren and shenanigans with her sisters.

Barb is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Roger) Hildreth of Iberia; three grandchildren, Dustin (Michael Medley) Hunter, Darick (Raygen) Hunter and Cory Hunter; great granddaughter, Ellaina Hunter; two sisters, Janice Williams and Carol Finney both of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; grandson, Colby Hildreth; brother and sister-in-law, James (Esther) Finney and a brother-in-law, Robert Williams.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 24th with Rev. James Macdonald officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
