Barbara J. Huffman, 84, of Galion passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Galion Pointe.
She was born April 8, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan and was the daughter of Wilfred and Marjorie (Tolmie) Gagne.
Barbara worked at the Galion Community Hospital for 22 years and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Bucyrus. She was a member of the Galion Women of the Moose Lodge 177, Crestline Eagles Auxiliary, TWIG of Galion Community Hospital and volunteered at Signature HealthCARE in Galion.
Barbara enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, crocheting and cross stitching. She had an ornery streak and will be remembered for her homemade pies and her Carrot cake.
She is survived by twin daughters, Pauline Whitesel of Lexington and Paula (Chuck) Beck of Galion; five grandchildren, Karen (Louie) Cortez, Brenda (Mike) Hedrick, Stephanie (Travis Pence) Whitesel, Stephen Whitesel and Alexis Beck; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Wilfred “Ted” Gagne and a sister Marjorieann (Dale) Hurst.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her companion of over 15 years, Monty “Joe” Hallmark; brother George Gagne, sister Gloria Chipps and special pet companions, Angel and Wendy.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Galion with Pastor Ken Lance officiating.
