Barbara Ann Martig age 80 died Sat. Aug. 13, 2022 at Fairhaven Health Care Community. She was born Apr. 30, 1942 in Tiffin to the late Floyd A. Martig and Rose V. (Carpenter) Martig. Later Barbara was raised by her late stepmother Harriet Honsberger Miller.
She is survived by two sisters Betty Romich who helped raise her in her early years, Rose Marie (Paul) Amos, both of Upper Sandusky, two brothers David (Jo) Miller, Upper Sandusky, Allen (Carol) Martig, SC, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara is preceded in death by a stillborn brother Richard Martig, and a brother-in-law Charles Romich.
Barbara was a graduate of USHS with the class of 1960. She worked at Wyandot Memorial Hospital for 25 years as a nurses aid. Barbara was a member of Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild, and was a hospital volunteer. She was a life member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Women of the Church, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and volunteered her help in the church office. Barbara was an avid OSU football fan. She enjoyed cross stitching, making scrap books, exercising, and traveling with the Wyandot County Senior Citizens. Barbara enjoyed doing ceramics and loving gave them as gifts to family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM Tue. Aug. 16, 2022 in Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Halter officiating. Interment will follow in Old Mission Cemetery.
