Aurelia Ruth Brombacher, 97, of Bucyrus, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021.

She was born September 3, 1923, in Sherwood, Ohio to the late Rev. Arthur K. Beisheim and Ruth E. (Boedeker) Beisheim. She graduated from Buffalo East High School, Buffalo, NY in 1941 and from Heidelberg College in 1947.  Aurelia was married to W. Wallace Brombacher on June 22, 1947, in Bennington Center, NY, in a ceremony performed by her father, Rev. Arthur K. Beisheim.

Aurelia was preceded in death by her husband Wally; sons, Dennis Brombacher and Kevin Brombacher; brother, Calvin Beisheim; sister-in-law, Dorothy Brombacher; brother-in-law, Carl Yunker, and beloved companion, Lawrence “Bud” Hall.

She is survived by a son, Bruce (Marcia) Brombacher of Westerville; daughter, Jill (Steve) Kullman of Zanesville; daughters-in-law, Nora Brindle of Salt Lake City, Utah and Linda Brombacher of Fairport, NY; sister, Bernice Yunker of Elba, NY as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Aurelia was a retired first-grade teacher and a volunteer for several local organizations. She enjoyed crafts, walking, reading, and traveling throughout the United States and abroad. She was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, served in the Women’s Guild, and sang in the church choir.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 22 at St. John’s UCC, 120 S. Lane St., Bucyrus with Pastor Gary Schiefer officiating. A small reception will follow after the service at the church and a private burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
