Arlene M. Moore, 96, of Galion passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at home.
Born July 17, 1925, in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Marie (Zimmer) Butterfield. She married Carl E. Moore on September 7, 1947, and he preceded her on March 3, 2016.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1943. Arlene was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of the former Naomi Chapter 47 Order of Eastern Star in Galion where she served as Past Matron and Past Grand Representative of New Brunswick. She is a H.A.M. radio operator with call sign N8QWJ and a member of the Crawford County Amateur Radio Club.
She is survived by children Vicki (Samuel) DeRodes of Overland Park, Kansas and Keith A. Moore of Galion; grandson Kyle (Kim) DeRodes of Kansas City, Missouri, and great-grandchildren August Benson DeRodes and Stella DeRodes.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a. m. Friday, September 17 at Fairview Cemetery in Galion with Rev. Heather McLoed officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
