Arabel A. Frisch, age 93 of rural Forest died at her residence Sat. Sept. 11, 2021. She was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Salem Twp. Wyandot County to the late Arthur E. & Blanche (Best) Gottfried. She married Charles A. Frisch on Oct. 27, 1956, in St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, and he died on Jan. 28, 2017.
Mrs. Frisch is survived by a son Craig A. Frisch of rural Forest, a sister Beulah Bishop, Findlay, two brothers A. David (Barbara) Gottfried, Charles (Jean) Gottfried both of Upper Sandusky, and a brother-in-law Eugene Chandler, Upper Sandusky. She was preceded in death by a son Michael L. Frisch on Mar. 2, 2008, three sisters Florence Beidelschies, Margaret Chandler, Arlene Walton, three brothers Russell, Lester, and Norman Gottfried.
She graduated from Salem High School with the class of 1946. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband and sons on the family farm. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, Kirby, where she helped with many church festivals. She was also a member of Wyandot County Farm Bureau, Farmers Union, and enjoyed traveling with the tour group. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, flower and vegetable gardening, and canning vegetables and fruit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tues. Sept. 14, 2021, in Transfiguration of The Lord Catholic Church with Father Conrad Sutter OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 AM Tue. Sept. 14, 2021, at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. The family strongly suggests memorial donations be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel or Gottfried Nature Center in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 East Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
