Anna M. Hart Steinhour went to her heavenly home on June 17, 2020.

She was born on March 14, 1939 in North Robinson, Ohio to Edna (Gerstenslager) and Leroy Elmer Hart, both deceased. She graduated from Leesville High School in 1958 and joined the United States Navy after graduation. Anna married Forrest (Junior) Steinhour in March 1959 and he preceded her in death in May 1990.

During her life, she was a Cub Scout leader, 4-H adviser, was an active member in the P.T.A., and was director of CYC in the Wesleyan Church. She worked in the Galion City Schools as a para-professional tutor while her children were young. Anna went to work at O’Neil’s, May Company, Kaufmans and Macy’s retiring in 2009 after 39 years. She loved her family very much and always tried to have family get togethers as often as she could.

Anna is survived by her four children, Kevin (Barbara) Steinhour of Ontario, Kelley Schwertfager of Crestline, Bethany Harmon of Crestline and Todd (Terra) Steinhour of North Canton; step daughter Bonnie (Mearil) Gibson of Raven, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, Shane (Samantha) Steinhour of Rapid City, South Dakota, Ryan Steinhour of Chadron, Nebraska and Drew Steinhour of Ontario, Danielle (Bryan) Ratliff of Galena, Ashleigh (Doug) Page of Bucyrus, Seth Schwertfager of Crestline, Joshua (Elizabeth) Harmon of Ashland and Megan (Eric) VanAuker of Delaware and Nathan, Zachary and Aiden Steinhour of Barberton; 10 great grandchildren, Willow and Joey Steinhour, Anna Leino, Mason and Mya Ratliff, Jaxon and Rowen VanAuker, Norah and Forrest Schwertfager and Aria Page; brothers Raymond (Karen) Hart, David (Jewel) Hart and Kenny Hart and Ivan (Donna) of Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother Donald Hart and sister Betty Isaacs; mother-in-law and father-in-law Forrest and Maud Steinhour and sons-in-law David Harmon and Randy Schwertfager.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2020 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833, Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23 at Avenue Church, 1756 Park Avenue West, Ontario, Ohio 44906 with Pastor Dennis Baum officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.

Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
