Shirley Ann Jeffrey, 75, of Crestline passed away on December 18, 2024, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born in Crestline, on August 12, 1949, to the late James and Minnie “Ethel” Walters. She married John Richard Jeffrey on May 4, 1968, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2018.
Shirley was a Crestline High School graduate, Class of 1967. She spent her life devoted to caring for others, working as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at TLC, where she impacted the lives of many with her compassionate nature.
Shirley was a proud collector, finding joy in gathering spoons, plates, McDonald’s Happy Meal toys, and porcelain dolls. Her whimsical spirit extended to her active participation in the VFW Auxiliary, where she forged lasting friendships and contributed to the local community. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Crestline. An avid bowler, she cherished the time spent on the lanes and the camaraderie it brought.
Shirley is survived by her children; Michael (Ruth) Jeffrey; John (Kara) Jeffrey; Rick (Denise) Jeffrey; Bryan Jeffrey (Latanya), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two nieces (who were more like daughters), Melissa Clark and Kressie Jeffrey, brother-in-law, Robert Jeffrey, two other brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Rose Jeffrey.
A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held at a later date.
