The Bucyrus City Board of Zoning Appeals has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, June 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall. The Board is meeting to discuss the following:

  • Val J. Fawley, owner of Outlot 508 would like to split a portion of Outlot 508 and transfer ownership to J. R. Jenney in order to accommodate an encroachment of an accessory structure that was placed at 112 Brookside Drive. Also, the proposed lot split would provide a side yard for same.
  • Wise Funeral Services would like to build a parking lot at the northeast corner of South Poplar Street and West Warren Street. The address for this property is 122 West Warren Street. This property is located within the General Business District and parking lots are required to have a side yard of ten (10) feet. As proposed, the parking lot would be located 6.23 feet from the north property line and 2.82 feet from the east property line. Along Poplar Street and Warren Street, the parking lot will maintain the required five foot Clear Zone between any parked vehicle and the street right-of-way. Also, the parking lot will include the required stormwater detention.
