CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—It may have felt more like winter than spring, but that did not stop local youth soccer players from taking the field this past Saturday. With cold temperatures and bundled-up spectators lining the sidelines, teams still showed up ready to play.

From the first whistle, the fields were full of energy. Kids were running, passing, and working together, already showing the teamwork that makes youth sports so special. The weather was not ideal, but it did not take away from the excitement of being back out there.

Families braved the cold with blankets, hats, and hot drinks in hand, cheering on their players the whole way. It’s moments like these that make the season memorable, not just the goals, but the laughs, encouragement, and support from the sidelines.

As the season gets underway, one thing is clear: no matter the temperature, this community shows up. Youth soccer continues to bring people together, giving kids a chance to grow, learn teamwork, and just enjoy the game.
