BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Wynford Local Schools is kicking off the 2025–26 school year with excitement and a focus on student success from start to finish. Superintendent Trisler Forrest welcomes everyone back, highlighting the district’s commitment to empowering each student. From literacy and PBIS at Wynford Elementary to the Early College Academy and diploma plus acceptance at Wynford High School, the district is dedicated to preparing students for their next steps.

Looking closer at the details, Wynford Elementary is emphasizing improved literacy and Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS) to create a supportive and thriving learning environment. For middle and high school students, opportunities continue to expand with career exploration courses, a partnership with Pioneer, and the growing Early College Academy with Marion Technical College. “It’s exciting to see our seniors finish strong with diploma plus acceptance and celebrate on signing day,” Forrest said.

Parents and the community play a key role in student success. “Educators wear a lot of hats, but mind reading isn’t one of them,” Forrest said. “If your child needs extra support, start with the teacher. Most problems can be solved at the lowest level, and we have wraparound services to help meet students where they are.”

For staff, Forrest reminds: “Don’t miss the moment. Every day is filled with little moments that can make a huge difference in a student’s life.” Students are encouraged to be kind and be involved—through sports, clubs, or other activities—to make the most of their school experience.

With a focus on growth, opportunity, and strong relationships, Wynford Local Schools is ready for a successful year. Go Royals!
