Although the current school year has yet to hit the halfway point, parents of next year’s prospective kindergarten students should begin planning now.
Residents of the Wynford School District who have a child entering kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year may call the Wynford Elementary Building at 419-562-4619 to register that child. The cutoff date for kindergarten is 5 years old by Aug. 1. Screening dates are April 14 and 15.
Kindergarten requirements include immunizations, physical exam, dental exam, government issued birth certificate Social Security number and proof of residency. If applicable, custody papers are also required.
Immunization requirements include five does of DPT; four doses of polio, two doses of MMR, three doses of hepatitis B and two doses of chicken pox.
