The Wynford Local Schools are celebrating its Golden Anniversary this year! Throughout the school year events are being planned to recognize everyone who has made Wynford the special place that it is, and to celebrate 50 years of Royal Pride, and a long tradition of excellence.
On Friday, September 20, during the Wynford/Buckeye Central football game alumni members of the band, flags, majorettes, and cheerleaders will be recognized, as well as graduates from the classes from 1974-1983. Alumni of these groups are encouraged to attend the game, and participate with their organizations.
Plans are being made for all former Wynford High School Band Directors to be in attendance. Band Alumni are encouraged to attend even if they do not wish to play. All Marching Band, Flag, and Majorette Alumni will be asked to join the Band and all directors on the field during the pregame ceremonies. If Alumni wish to play they will be welcome to join in with the Marching Royals for the Alma Mater and National Anthem, as well as for a song during the half-time show, which will feature the music of the rock band “Chicago”. Band Alumni who wish to perform can get music in advance by contacting Christi (Chandler) Crall at (419) 689-3597. We are looking forward to an evening of fun, music, and memories.
