A Galion woman had her sentence reduced from a possible three years to seven months after pleading guilty Wednesday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
Nineteen-year-old Dallas Carroll agreed to a plea deal that dropped a felony 3 charge of illegal conveyance, but resulted in a conviction for the felony 5 drug possession charge. Carroll was sentenced to seven months at Marysville with credit for 171 days served in the county jail.
Carroll admitted to illegally being in possession of Percocet. Carroll must also pay a $1,250 fine plus court costs, forfeit all drug related property, and have driver’s license suspended for six months.
Two other men also pleaded guilty to felony charges Wednesday in Common Pleas Court but managed to avoid prison. One, however, will suffer the consequences for 25 years.
Tyler Waldbauer pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Waldbauer was placed on community control for three years but must report to the Sheriff’s Office in his county of residence as a Tier II sex offender for the next 25 years.
Dustin Hughett was also placed on community control for three years following his guilty plea to a charge of felony 5 receiving stolen property. Hughett was also ordered to pay nearly $2,187.80 in restitution to the victim.
Judge Russell Wiseman set bond at $100,000 for Timothy Brown Jr. who is charged with violating terms of his community control for using heroin. Attorney Geoffrey Stoll was appointed as Brown’s attorney. A clause stipulates that if Brown posts bond he must enter a treatment facility immediately.
