Anna Morris admitted to violating the conditions of her community control while in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Tuesday. Morris acknowledged that she had drug paraphernalia in her possession in April of this year and had used marijuana in June.
The terms of Morris’s plea agreement sent her to the Crawford County jail for 90 days, though she will be credited for 80 days she has already served. After serving her time, Morris will be unsuccessfully terminated from community control.
Brian Horning request for intervention in lieu of conviction was granted Tuesday in Common Pleas Court. Horning, of Galion, pleaded guilty to a felony five charge of possession of drugs. He admitted to having heroin in his possession in June of this year.
Horning was initially placed on the intervention program for two years. Judge Russell Wiseman also ordered that Horning take part in any counseling that has been recommended. If Horning successfully completes the program, his guilty plea and all charges will be dismissed.
Brendon Smith appeared in Common Pleas court for an initial hearing on charges that he violated his community control. Smith had been placed on community control in December of 2011 following his conviction for breaking and entering. He violations included being accused of stealing a TV from a Walmart in Norwalk, failing to report as required and testing positive for cocaine, marijuana and various opiates. Wiseman appointed attorney Timothy O’Leary to represent Smith and set his bond at $50,000.
