BUCYRUS — Stephanie Auck of Bucyrus appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Monday with her attorney, Brian Gernert. She was one of five defendants to make an appearance.

Auck, 41, pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of her community control. Auck was sentenced to probation in 2019 after she pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug, a fifth-degree felony  punishable with up to one year in prison and four counts of trafficking in drugs, each fourth-degree felonies and each punishable with up to 18 months in prison.

According to probation officer Eric Bohach, Auck tested positive for oxycodone and other drugs when she submitted to a routine drug test in June. Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Auck to six months in prison on each count for a total of 24 months.

In other court action, Chadrick Beekman, 21, of Sycamore pleaded guilty to an amended charge of aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison.

Beekman was originally charged with complicity, a second-degree felony punishable with up to eight years in prison.

In a plea negotiation, Leuthold sentenced Beekman to a flat 12 months in prison.

Jody Dailey, 47, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison. Due to a plea negotiation, Dailey will spend the next five years on community control. He was ordered to complete alcohol and drug assessment and any suggested follow-up treatment.

Jesse Dye, 33, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison. Leuthold sentenced Dye to a flat six months in prison. He will receive 112 days of jail time credit and Leuthold said he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.

Jarrod Simpson, 37, of Galion pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Simpson was placed on five years of community control in March after he pleaded guilty to one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison and one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison.

According to probation officer Eric Bohach, Simpson tested positive for fentanyl, morphine, and tramadol in June.

Leuthold sentenced Simpson to nine months on each count for a total of 18 months in prison. Simpson will receive jail time credit. Leuthold said he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.
