BUCYRUS — A Bucyrus woman was arrested after a two-vehicle injury crash Tuesday night.

According to a report from the Bucyrus Police Department, 46-year-old Angela M. Chandler was arrested after driving her vehicle through a flashing red stoplight and crashing into another vehicle.

It was confirmed by the Crawford County Board of Commissioners that the woman arrested was not Angela D. Chandler, the Crawford County Dog Warden.

According to the police report, two witnesses to the crash said Chandler was driving southbound on Mary Street at 10:42 p.m. when she drove through the flashing red light and turned eastbound on East Mansfield Street, into the lane occupied by the vehicle being driven by a 52-year-old Bucyrus man.

The witnesses said the Bucyrus man swerved to avoid a collision, Chandler then drove into the passenger side of the man’s vehicle. The man’s front and passenger-side airbags deployed as a result of the crash.

The man was transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital.

Chandler was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to yield at an intersection and failure to control.
