BUCYRUS—Ohio Mutual Insurance Group has announced its plans to merge with United Mutual Insurance Company, based in Medford, Wisconsin, under Ohio Mutual’s mutual holding company structure. The merger is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2023.

We will continue to offer our current products and provide service through our agent network and the United Mutual brand,” said Wilke. He further noted that United Mutual members would continue to receive mutual benefits as part of the Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, and the merger would allow them to benefit from an expanded range of products, an increased geographic reach, and the financial strength of Ohio Mutual’s reinsurance program.
