UPDATE: As of 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, Crawford County has been upgraded to a Level 2 Snow Advisory.

Old Man Winter certainly hasn’t loosened his wintry grip yet.

After a morning of rain, wet snow rolled into the area and put Crawford County under a Level 1 Snow Alert at 10:53 Wednesday morning. Huron and Seneca Counties were both under a Level 2.

Many schools that hadn’t closed for the day announced early dismissals. Buckeye Central, Colonel Crawford, Crestline, Wynford, Fairway and Waycraft Industries, Mansfield City Schools, and Ontario all chose to send their students home early to beat the rest of the wintry mix that is expected to come in.

A winter storm watch is in effect for Crawford County until 8 o’clock tonight.
